Farewell to April

PEA POD

PARSLEY

What a busy month April turned out to be!
I was out of town 2 weeks and every weekend this month.
So today (this last day of April) I will savor the fact that I am finally home to rest, catch up on laundry, housecleaning, correspondance etc.

The highlight of my month:

Hubby and I took our 5 yr old grandson to Legoland in Orlando Florida.

Obsessed with Lego's, this was a very exciting adventure for him.

And filled with lots of precious memories for all of us!

Happy Quilting!

Is it Friday Already?

ROTUNDA

We've been having cooler than normal weather this spring.
Despite the cold evenings and morning frosts, I continue to work on blocks that remind me of warm Spring days.

GARDEN

I've completed 72 blocks so far and my grid is finally starting to fill in a bit.
Still more blank spaces than blocks, but I'm hoping to tip that scale by mid summer.
I'll continue to work on a few more Spring themed blocks as I wait for those warmer temperatures the weatherman keeps promising.

May your days be stitch filled and your journey Joyful!

And a picture of my completed Tiger Lily block.
It is the botanical flower assignment for April over at the SVBAQ blog.
The sew-along is free to follow and newcomers are always welcome!

Wishing you a happy and stitch filled start to April!

More March finishes

CAIRNCROFT

I decided to keep with Spring themed blocks for the month.
It was fun searching thru all the blocks in the book to find them.
There were plenty of blocks left to chose from. (grin)

FLOWER BASKET

BUNNIES
(can you see them dancing around the circle?)

I also completed 2 of my blocks for the Sarah Fielke BOM.
The star is not part of Sarah's design, I decided to make an Anniversary star instead. I will add a verse in the center of it before completing the quilt.

I've also been working steadily on my blocks for the Shenandoah Valley Botanical Sew along. I'm including a sneak peek of my finished block for April.
Can you tell what block this is?
Today is the next monthly block reveal over at the SVBAQ blog.
You can see which botanical design it is by clicking HERE.

Wishing you a Fabulous start to April!
