I am providing a few picture examples to help those in need of visual aid thru the cutting process. Click on any of these pictures to enlarge them if necessary.
Your background strip sets should look like this (before sub-cutting)
FYI: ALL 2.5" x wof strips (cut selvage to selvage) will be sub-cut in HALF along the fold line. this includes your jelly roll strips and background strips.

I had to order my background fabric. I hope I get it before next Sunday. I will be cutting my jelly roll this week. This is going to be fun.
ReplyDeleteOk, I made the committing move and opened my Jelly Roll :) Any advice for multicolor strips? I am using primarily blue strips and yellow strips with bits of pink and green. Should we mix the colors within groups A and B?
ReplyDeleteWell, I've copied the instructions and would like to cut some 2.5" scraps. I'll see how far I get :0)
ReplyDeleteOff to a fun start! Everything cut and separated for A & B sets and in time to watch Downton Abbey...
ReplyDeleteYou are a generous teacher! Looking forward to seeing all of the great quilts that come from this project.
ReplyDeleteYay! I was waiting for this. I'll search the fabric stash and see what I can come up with. If I commit then I will be making the smaller version.
ReplyDeleteThanks for doing this Doreen!
I am not doing this but I'll have fun seeing everyone's! :)
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful of you to have this sew along !
ReplyDeleteI will not be able to participate but look forward to watching everyones progress.
