While at my local quilt shop recently, I was asked if I'd be interested in sewing together a shop sample quilt.
I was told it would be fast & easy to make and it definitely was.
Here is a picture of it being held up on the steps in front of Kelly Ann's Quilt shop .
Just look at this adorable fabric line, it's called Owl Wonderful. These cheerful prints and colors remind me of the Folk Art movement of the late 60's and early 70's. Owls were all the rage back then too.
The pattern is called Step Up from the Think Fast book by Swirly Girls Design.
There are directions to make this in 4 sizes Lap to King. The one I made is a 62" x 72" Lap size quilt.
I made this entire quilt top in just 2 afternoons.
My 2 year old grandson kept pointing to the border fabric saying "Hoo Owz" Nana "Hoo Owz".
Needless to say after that - he will be receiving an Owl quilt from Nana. (grin)

Is anyone else working on a quick and easy summer project right now? I'd love to hear about it!
