An April Finish

Here is my April calendar girl all framed and finished. I designed a Cherry Blossom block border to surround the 9" redwork stitchery. The inspiration for this pattern came from one of my favorite pastimes - observing the annual bloom of Cherry Blossoms here in our nation's Capital.

These are just a few of the Modern Jane blocks I've made the past couple of weeks. Here are some of my latest triangles for this quilt as well.


In addition to these, I've completed my April redwork "Calendar Girl". Now I just have to decide on a border pattern for this block. I'm looking forward to finishing this one up next week.

Another Finish

Well it's official...we had the warmest March on record here in VA.
I really liked the large wind-swept blooms in these red & taupe prints.
I chose them for this block because they seemed to be a perfect match to the unusually warm & windy weather we had during the month.
