These are the last 4 blocks I completed for the CW BOM.
July has proven to be a very hectic month for me. Although I've managed to work on some hand piecing & applique' I haven't had much time for blogging or machine sewing.

Here are the first 4 Reverse Applique' blocks I've made for a Dutch Treat quilt.
Most of the blocks in this quilt will be made from the "waterlilies" multi-colored batik, but I thought I'd toss in a few purple & green blocks for a little pop & sparkle.
every quilt tells a story...

A Dutch Treat...how beautiful. And so different from the CW blocks...which are glorious and make me want to catch up on mine! I have never done reverse applique...is it hard?
ReplyDeleteWonderful. I've fallen behind on CW blocks and may never finish.
ReplyDeleteI like the colours you are using for your CW blocks, and you're starting another quilt, wow.
ReplyDeleteYour CW blocks are just gorgeous ! Congrats on finishing 4 more.

Your CW blocks are soo beautiful! I love your new appliqué block too, fantastic batiks:)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful batik fabric in your new quilt, The Dutch Treat, how big are the blocks, is it a BOM? Very interesting. Your CW blocks are very pretty and I like to follow your DJ progress, it is really growing.
ReplyDeleteHappy stitching.

Reproduction prints and batiks, love it! My favorites too. Your CW blocks are beautiful and love the Dutch Treat in batiks. They do pop and sparkle!
ReplyDeleteBoth sets of blocks look great. Quite a different look between the two kinds of blocks. Keeps sewing interesting to vary things a bit.
