Instructions for the 56" x 56" Triple Chain Quilt top


Background fabric - 2 yards
Cut (2) 10.5" x wof strips.
Cut 19  (20) 2.5" x wof strips.  correction is in red
This version requires NO outside borders

For Set A:
Count out 12 of the 2.5" x wof background strips.
Cut each strip in half on the fold (the 2.5" side) to yield a total of (24) 2.5" x 21 or 22" strips.

For Set B:
Subcut the 10.5" x wof strips into (8) 10.5" squares.
Count out (2) of the 2.5" x wof strips - cut each in half on the fold
to yield a total of (4) 2.5" x 21 or 22" strips.
Subcut the remaining 5 (6) 2.5" x wof strips into (32) 2.5" x 6.5" strips.

Jelly Roll fabrics:
For Set A:
Count out 13 Jelly roll strips (2.5" x wof) Cut each strip in half on fold to yield
a total of (26) 2.5" x 21 or 22" strips.
Remove 1 of the half strips and place the remaining 25 half strips
with the background fabrics you cut for Set A.

For Set B:
Count out 4 Jelly roll strips (2.5" x wof) - cut each strip in half on fold to yield
a total of (8) 2.5" x 21 or 22" strips.  Place 4 of the half strips with the background fabrics you cut for Set B.
Cut the remaining 4 half strips into (32) 2.5" squares.

Save any remaining 2.5" x wof strips you have left over from your Jelly Roll bundle.
You can use some of these to make a scrappy binding for your quilt.
