Red Jane update

While preparing for the museum exhibit this past week, I realized that it's been quite a while since I've updated the progress on my "Lady in Red" Jane.
Above are the last 6 blocks that I've made.

Soon I will begin sashing and quilting the blocks individually. (Quilt as you Go)
It will make the final assembly process much quicker once all the blocks are completed. Here is my progress on this quilt so far:

I've got 50 more blocks cut and packaged, but it will be Fall before I am able to work on this project in earnest again.
Do YOU have a long term project in the wings?

every quilt tells a story.....

  6. I have four blocks made for the Dear Jane quilt and know that it will be a long term project. It was long term just putting starting into action. An all red & white Jane will be spectacular. I have seen pictures of two color ones and drawn to them.

  8. Gorgeous blocks. I too am working on a DJ in red. I love having a long term project, such a huge sense of achievement at the end, and years of enjoyment along the way.

  14. I love this red and white quilt. These latest blocks look challenging but are so pretty.

Now that I think about it, I have too many projects that have turned into 'long-term'...

  15. So great to see your progress and the reds are just super - liking that touch od striped fabric! Too many long term projects to count but really want to wrap up the quilting on Beyond the Cherry Tree and also get back to Di Ford's Drayton Hall. Have about 400+ diamonds made and not even half way there...
