My Jane Quilt is headed to Vermont for the show!

My Dear Jane quilt has just taken her first big "journey"!
She left yesterday for The Vermont Quilt Festival where she will be part of the Celebrating Jane Stickle exhibit, curated by Brenda Papadakis.

I was SO nervous about mailing her away that I asked my son to drive me to the drop off center. LOL
We've been thru a lot together Jane & I.
She has been the most intensely challenging AND rewarding quilt experience of my life.

I've shared pictures of my Jane flimsy on my blog before.
I'll post pictures of my finished quilt once it's hanging at the Exhibit in Vermont. But for now, I'd be more than happy to flip a corner over for a special peek at the bottom right corner.

My quilt is titled "A Modern Day Jane". I'm dedicating it to my nieces who bravely served in Afghanistan & Iraq during war time.

I am so grateful for the many wonderful quilter's I've met along this journey. I look forward meeting many more Janiacs in the future!

every quilt tells a story...

  5. Hi Doreen...
Oh, I am just so happy for you!! What an exciting adventure this will be...making a "Jane" is such a labor of love and to be in an exhibit will validate all of that tedious work...
I can understand your wanting to drop the quilt off instead of mailing it...

Wishing you all the best at the exhibit! Have fun!
    Hugs, Nancy

  10. What a sweet thing to dedicate this wonderful quilt to two wonderful ladies! You better make another one and give them each the Jane quilt! Would you believe my oldest daughter's name is Trisha Nicole?! How wonderful your quilt will be in the Jane Stickle exhibit...wish I could go see them!
