Here is my April calendar girl all framed and finished. I designed a Cherry Blossom block border to surround the 9" redwork stitchery. The inspiration for this pattern came from one of my favorite pastimes - observing the annual bloom of Cherry Blossoms here in our nation's Capital.
Well it's official...we had the warmest March on record here in VA. I really liked the large wind-swept blooms in these red & taupe prints. I chose them for this block because they seemed to be a perfect match to the unusually warm & windy weather we had during the month.
